Friday, June 9, 2023: 11:00am check-in, 11:55am Introduction and welcome, program starts at 12:00pm, no-host social at 4:30pm, and banquet at 6:00pm.

Saturday, June 10, 2023: 7:15 continental breakfast, 7:55am Introduction, program starts at 8:00am and adjourns at 12:30pm. At 12:45 the Annual Meeting for the Bankruptcy Bar Association for the Eastern District of Washington will begin.

Reservations: To make reservations at the Historic Davenport Hotel, call 509-455-8888. Reservations should be made as soon as possible.

Cost: $280.00 for registration by EDWA Bankruptcy Bar Association members and $330.00 for non-members. REGISTER BY MAY 23, 2023 AND RECEIVE A $35.00 DISCOUNT. Registrations received after May 23, 2023 will be on a space-available basis.

EMERGENCY RENTAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS

If you are a renter having trouble paying your rent or a landlord who has lost
rental income due to challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic, help may
be available. Through funding from the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s
Emergency Rental Assistance (ERA) program, there are a wide variety of state and
local programs that offer assistance—including financial assistance—to those who
are struggling to make ends meet.
Provided below are links to learn more about ERA programs in your local area,
including how they work and who is eligible, as well as other important
information to help you navigate these difficult times. ERA programs can vary
based on locale since flexibility is given to states to develop programs that best
suit the needs of their communities.

IMPORTANT NOTICE – Meetings of Creditors

Monday, March 16, 2020

The United States Trustee has announced the following:  Effective immediately, all in-person chapter 7, 12, and 13 section 341 meetings scheduled through April 10, 2020, are hereby continued until a later date to be determined.  Absent special circumstances, section 341 meetings may not proceed during this period except through telephonic or other alternative means not requiring personal appearance by debtors.  Appropriate notice will be provided to parties in accordance with bankruptcy law and rules.   This effects meetings scheduled for chapter 7s set on March 17th, and 18th, and  chapter 13 cases set on March 19th, 2020. Meetings already noticed as telephonic meetings may proceed as scheduled.
